The Waterfall Vânturătoarea
The path to the waterfall reveals indescribable beauty. The trail starts from the tail of Lake Prisaca, passes the Tasnei Bridge to the left of Cerna, and the climb lasts about 1 hour. As you climb, you can see the wall of the Fan, opening a huge amphitheater in the middle of which flows the Waterfall. The grandiose image is dreamlike. The waterfall has a free and vertical drop from about 40 m. The water is flushed because the stream hits a threshold before falling. The path descends slightly near the wall and surprisingly the angle changes at each step, giving you another picture of the waterfall. The path takes you further behind the waterfall, where there is no touch of water, you watch it fall like a curtain. At the same time, you can climb above the waterfall, on Piatra Galbenă Peak. It is very surprising and completely different in the winter season. In the place where the water falls, a huge ice block is formed.
The route starts right at the boundaries of Caraş-Severin and Mehedinţi counties, with the county limit indicator at about 300 m from Pensiunea DIMITRIOS. You climb through the forest for about 30 minutes and suddenly an amazing view over the Valley opens. The path goes around the rocky wall to the left from where the Tsaşnei Gorges begin. The path is at a height, dug into the wall of the keys. This was the border between the Austro-Hungarian Empire and the Romanian Country. You can still see the path patrolled by the guards near Gaura Fetii (formation in a rock dug by water). The Black Pine of Banat was at a height between the imposing rocky and steep walls. It is a silence and an indescribable image. The keys are not very long, they last about an hour. They end in a beautiful meadow where you will find Ţâsna flowing in a small but very beautiful waterfall. Before descending to the waterfall is the Dracilor Mill (water mill with vertical axis whose wheel turns counterclockwise) which you can enter, for those who are passionate or curious about how a mill looks ... feeling- it smelled nice of wheat.
Cătunele Ineleţ şi Scărişoara
Ineleţ and Scărişoara villages where time is in place, isolated in the heart of the mountains, without road access.
Towards Valea Cernei, on the left side of the road, at one point, tourist markings and signs appear. Follow the yellow dot marking that passes a bridge over the Cerna, thus following the wonderful path to the destination.

Monastery SF. ANA
From DE 70 (Bucharest-Timisoara) you can see the founding of the interwar newspaper Pamfil Şeicaru. The Holy Ana Monastery is located on the Hill of Moşului, the highest altitude in the surroundings of Orsova, and "watches" over the confluence of the Bay of Cerna with the Danube.
From Orşova to the monastery there are 3 km to climb the Hill of Moşului. Sub-lieutenants Pamfil Şeicaru and Petre Găvănescu escaped in this place from the attack of a howitzer during the battles of World War I. As a sign of gratitude, Pamfil Sheicaru promised that he would build a monastery. The construction (1936-1939) involved the paving of a road through the forest, from the old center of Orsova to the monastery. On the "Road of the Heroes", as it was to be called, were placed benches and pits on which were records of the 1916 battle regiments, which were subsequently destroyed.
Located near the Danube, on the Vodita river valley, just 8 km from Orşova city and 17 km from Drobeta Turnu Severin, Vodita Monastery is located in one of the most beautiful natural landscapes, far from civilization. Carrying the dedication of "The Birth of the Virgin Mary" and that of "Saint Anthony the Great", the Vodita Monastery is located on the hearth of the former Varciorova village, just a kilometer away from the Danube.
The Vodita Monastery enjoys the status of the first monastic settlement that was administered autonomously (according to the canons established by Saint Basil the Great), and from the documentary point of view it receives the status of the oldest voievodal foundation.
The statue of the Dacian king Decebal is located on the rocky bank of the Danube, between the localities of Eselnița and Dubovan, the area of the cataracts from the Small Boilers (Mraconia Bay), on the left bank of the Danube, where the river is the deepest: 120 meters. The height of the statue is 55 m, which is the tallest stone sculpture in Europe.
It was carved from the model of the rock of Mount Rushmore in the American state of South Dakota and is the largest statue in Europe: it is only six feet less than the Statue of Liberty, but eight more than the monument of Christ in Rio de Janeiro, and about 10 meters higher than the height of the legendary Rhodes Colossus. Right in front of the statue, on the Serbian bank, there is an ancient memorial plaque ("Tabula Traiana") for almost 2000 years.
